How does Hammer Fiber's wireless technology work?

Hammer Fiber’s unique patented wireless system utilizes a high frequency wireless signal to extend our fiber network from our local distribution hub to your home. It has been designed to work like a traditional cable providers platform without the problems typically associated with outdated or antiquated copper wireline infrastructure.

Will Weather distort my service?

We make every effort to ensure that your service goes unaffected by weather. Unlike a traditional satellite service whose signal is delivered from thousands of miles away and must contend with all facets of atmospheric condition, Hammer Fiber limits the distance from our local distribution hub to around three miles. In cases of extreme weather, like a blizzard or torrential down pour, we may make adjustments to ensure that your connection remains intact, which may temporarily affect your maximum speeds. However, you can rest assured that once those temporary conditions clear, we will restore the settings to normal.

I know that Hammer Fiber services my area, but I am told the service is not available; why do I have to join a waiting list?

We don’t want to oversubscribe our network so that our quality of service remains at the levels our customers expect. Often, Internet Service is oversubscribed, with available bandwidth being divided amongst all of the subscribers in an area, dropping internet speeds at peak hours. In order to prevent that from ever happening on our network, we will only accept a limited amount of subscribers in an area to ensure that the bandwidth is always available for each customer.

When will service be available in my area?

We are hoping to offer our solution to much of New Jersey in the near future. Sign up for our email list to receive updates and product launches in new areas. This way, as soon as service is available in your area, you will know.

What is a Quality of Service Test and why do I need one?

At Hammer Fiber, we like to start off on the right foot, so every new customer is given a Quality of Service test. This test is performed by one of our certified technicians and allows us to determine if we are able to supply a great quality signal to your residence, as well as if we are able to install our equipment on your roof in a safe and secure manner. This is determined through a comprehensive roof survey, where our technitian will explore all options for for antenna placement.

How does installation work?

Once your home passes the Quality of Service test, your installation can be scheduled. A friendly and professional Hammer Fiber installation team will come to your home and place equipment in a suitable area, in the case of wireless installations they will place a receiving dish in your roof. A standard installation will allow for up to 100 feet of coax to be installed along the exterior of your home and for a new cable entry point to be installed. Once your new Hammer Fiber System is up and running, our technicians will walk you through the basic features of the products and services you have purchased and answer any questions you may have.

How long does installation take?

Every Installation is different, dependent upon the services being installed and the complexity of your home’s architecture. On average our installation can take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours.

How will I billed?

Our billing periods run from the 16th of the month through the 15th.  After your installation, your first bill will include the installation month at a prorated rate as well as your first full month.

What happened to the Hammer 'Connect' internet service?

Our Original Hammer Connect Internet Service plan has been sold out in most areas, however to ensure that we can continue to provide excellent service to customers throughout our coverage area, we have introduced some tiered service offerings.

How can I be sure that there will be enough bandwidth available to me?

Hammer Fiber has placed self-imposed limits on the number of subscribers it will service from each local distribution hub, ensuring that there will be enough bandwidth for everyone.

Will my internet service get slower during “peak hours” in the evening?

No. This is another reason that Hammer Fiber limits the number of subscribers from each of its central locations. We do not over-subscribe our network so that the bandwidth is always available at any time of day.

What is VoIP phone service?

Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP service is phone service that uses the internet to make and receive calls.

Why do you use VoIP?

VoIP services allow us to offer all of your favorite features paired along with affordable calling plans.

Will I need special equipment or a new phone?

No. All you need to do is plug in any phone to start being able to make calls.

I notice that a channel I want is missing from Hammer Fiber TV?

We are continually working to add more content to our offering, if there are specific channel(s) you are looking for that are not currently in the lineup, we encourage you to check back often to see what new content has been added.

Will I be able to get my favorite channels?

We have worked hard to provide a wide variety and selection of channels in our lineups and are sure there is something for everyone. We encourage you to review the lineups to make sure that you are getting the content you want.

Is Hammer Fiber TV similar to streaming internet television?

Similar, yes, but we have adapted our platform to function more like a traditional cable platform, giving it the look and feel of what our subscribers are used to, with some of the added functionality of streaming services. Additionally, our service is provided over our dedicated network, which ensures that you receive a quality service with little to no buffering.
